Our Approach
At The Limassol Acupuncture Clinic we take a holistic and personalized approach to your health. Rooted in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we focus on treating the whole person — balancing the body, mind, and spirit — rather than simply addressing individual symptoms. Every treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs, combining acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance to support your body’s natural healing abilities.

We understand that health often requires a combination of approaches. That’s why our treatments can be safely integrated with conventional medical care when needed. By working alongside your healthcare providers and considering any ongoing treatments, we aim to create a complementary plan that enhances results, supports recovery, and ensures your safety. This integrated approach allows us to provide care that is both holistic and practical, helping you achieve optimal results.

Acupuncture
Traditional acupuncture involves the insertion and stimulation of fine needles into specific points on the body. By modulating pain pathways, reducing inflammation, and supporting overall physiological balance, acupuncture can assist in the management of a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Chinese herbal medicine
Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) is one of Asia’s great healing traditions, and the heart of Chinese medicine. It can be used as a stand-alone therapy or in combination with other treatments, supplements, or prescribed medications when appropriate. While perhaps less widely known than its acupuncture counterpart, it is regarded by many as one of the most sophisticated and comprehensive systems of natural medicine. Practiced extensively in hospitals throughout China alongside modern Western medicine, CHM continues to play an important role in the treatment of a wide range of conditions.
Cupping
Cupping is a technique used in Chinese medicine to stimulate acupuncture points and larger muscle areas of the body. The technique involves creating a vacuum inside heated glass cups which are then placed onto the skin. The glass cups are left in place for 5-10 minutes, or if applied to large muscle areas, slid along the muscle group being treated, before being gently removed.

Common conditions where cupping is used as adjunct therapy include respiratory conditions, muscle aches and pains, as well as some gastrointestinal and skin disorders.

Moxa Therapy
Moxa therapy involves a technique that uses the gentle heat of the herb Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) to warm acupuncture points and larger areas of the body. The techinique invloves the burning or moxa -a soft wooly substance prepared from mugwort leaves (Artemesia vulgaris)- either directly on to the skin, or held just above the area being treated. A the moxa smoulders slowly, a therapeutic head permeates the skin and stimulates the local area.

The soothing warmth helps to strengthen vitality, relieve pain, and dispel cold or stagnation from the body. Moxa may be used alone or alongside acupuncture to support digestion, menstrual health, immunity, and general wellbeing.
