EARLY Pregnancy SUpport
For some women, reaching this point has been a long and challenging journey. In such cases, regular acupuncture is often used to support a healthy pregnancy during the first trimester.
COMMON PREGNANCY AILMENTS
​Acupuncture offers a gentle approach to managing common symptoms that may arise throughout a pregnancy such as anxiety, headaches, morning sickness, pelvic and lower back pain.
Labour Preperation
Supporting the preparation of labour with acupuncture starts as early as 36 weeks. During this time acupuncture can provide a gentle approach to supporting cervical ripening, address any anxiety that may arise, and help with pain management where necessary.
LABOUR INITIATION
In certain cases acupuncture may be considered as an alternative or complementary method for initiating spontaneous labour. It can be offered as a stand alone treatment or in combination with other standard methods currently used for the induction of labour.
POST PARTUM SUPPORT
Pregnancy and childbirth are powerful experiences which can take their toll on a woman's body. Often referred to as the 4th trimester, the postpartum period is an important time for a new mother to heal and regain strength, adapt to her new bearings, and bond with her new baby.
